The only thing you might lose is some water weight which you will get back in a minute.

It may be true, but it would only be temporary. If you're in the sun on the beach all day, you are going to sweat. Water weight is easy to lose, but is also easy to gain back.
Diet and exercise is the only lasting answer to weight loss. Everything in moderation.
