Just ask her. How is it embarrassing? Or go yourself! Look up foods that don't add weight to you, but are good for your body. Eat certain salads, apple, banana's, strawberries, and drink a lot of water. Take a jog each morning, and practice yoga! You'll be in top physical shape in no time! (Works for me! O.O)

why would you be embarrassed ask your mom... if anything wouldn't she be happier?? Just tell your mom you want to be healthy. Exercise will make you healthier too. You can join a sport that will get you healthy and into shape. Start to taking vitamins not the multi-mega-vitamins those are bad for you. Drink a lot of milk and orange juice in the morning. Eat a lot of fruits and veggies. Raw veggies are better for you but cooked will do. Stay away from candy. The only time I ever eat candy is when I go to the movies. Also, organic food really good for you. To find out what organic food is go here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organic_food Green veggies are the best for you.

Your mom would probably be pleased that you want to eat healthy. Don't worry about being embarrassed, just start bringing up that you would like some more fruit, vegetables and yogurt around. Don't know what your current diet is like. Usually cutting out the pop and junk food like chips and candy is a good start to eating healthier.

I think you should try to eat a variety of foods. Make sure you're getting the right amount of foods as outlined in the food pyramid. Balance your carbohydrates, veggies, fruits, protein, and dairy with a little bit of fat and sugar. Also make sure you drink enough water--water alone can help you be healthier if you're really too worried about asking your mom for different food. What's the worst she could say, anyway? Hopefully she won't care and she'll be able to help you out. Good luck!

You should start by eating a well-balanced diet. By that i don't mean just healthy food, but rather, i would say a variety of different kinds of food.
Have a good variety of food in ur meals. Examples would be:
For carbohydrates - rice, pasta, whole grain breads
For protein and calcium - milk, cheese, yoghurt, meat, legumes
And of course vegetables and fruits are good for you.
And to top it up, have regular exercise because just eating healthy is definitely not enough

You are what you eat, right? When I eat clean, I feel like I'm at the top of my game. When I eat something with too much fat or that is fried or unhealthy....I feel awful.
Here is a way to get started! Try eating a Raw Plant Based diet. It's easy, delicious and you feel the best ever (mentally, emotionally and physically).
Green Smoothies are a great way to start eating cleaner and getting TONS of energy! They can totally take the "edge" off when you have a sweet tooth, too. This is the best way to get greens into your diet, which are full of minerals. I'm into organic food, so I have organic listed here, but if you don't eat organic, then just get conventionally grown food. Organics is a whole other topic.
Green energy smoothies, made from leafy greens and fruit, are one of the best ways to fill your body with nutrition that is completely satisfying. Trust me, you’ll be amazed at how delicious these are. Many people use organic green energy smoothies to help them lose weight, because they help reduce cravings and can replace meals and/or snacks. They can also give you sky-rocketing energy!
Organic leafy greens are an excellent source of quality protein and minerals. And, when you consume your organic greens in the form of an Green Energy Smoothie, you can expect to get better assimilation of valuable nutrients. Not only that, but green smoothies have plenty of fiber, which helps to reduce cholesterol and to steady blood sugar levels. Make one today and see for yourself. It’s super easy!
I make sure I always have a Green Smoothie with me. I’ll take it to the movies for my snack or keep it in a cooler, in my car, when I’m out running errands. This way, if I get hungry or have any cravings, I can drink my green smoothie and be satisfied and full of pure, natural energy.
Green Energy Smoothie Recipe
2 cups of filtered or spring water
1 handful of Organic leafy greens such as spinach, kale, parsley, romaine lettuce, herbs, your choice
1-2 pieces of Organic fruit (depending on size and sweetness desired) for example: banana and/or apple, mango, berries, etc.
Put all of it in a blender, give it a whirl, and ENJOY!
By far the easiest one is probably doing spinach and banana. Put 1-2 handfuls of spinach in your blender with the water and 2 peeled bananas. Blend. Drink it down and RULE THE WORLD!
And, for a quick and easy dessert that is Raw and plant-based...try the following:
Eat Dates! Buy the Medjool variety (found in health food stores - probably most stores, but I usually shop at health food stores) and they're in the produce department or the bulk aisle. I prefer the ones in the produce department though. These are sweet and delicious and you might fix your sweet tooth just by eating a few of these.
Variation with a date. Take out the pit and stick an almond or pecan inside. OH MY GOSH!!!!!!! YUM!!!
Cheers!

Unless your mom is a ***** you shouldn't worry about asking her anything. She is your f-ing mom. If you can't ask her then you've got bigger problems than eating healthy.
