Ok I have older cabitnets and drawers in the kitchen and have 27 handles in total. They are old and dingy. But, new ones cost at least $2 a piece and Im not willing to spend that right now. I bought some siliver spray paint that should make them look like they are stainless steel if done right. Have you ever done that before?

if its just plain spray paint it will not stick to the metal unless it says that it is for that material specifically. if they are silver you can get some good silver polish and just clean them. also vinegar works wonders. you can soak them in vinegar overnight and it should make them look new again. however, if the spray paint is for metal then im sure it will look good. if not its only temporary right? good luck

I have not done it but have seen it done on HGTV and TLC decorating shows. Give it a try.
