There are two terminals at the airport. Most domestic and international flights go into Terminal #1 and transfer between flights is easy. If for some reason you come into terminal #2, which is only international flights, There are shuttle buses between terminals every 10 minutes. No worries mate.

Well first, if it is Malpensa airport, it is not difficult at all. They are in one terminal, but if you are going from one airline to a cheap international carrier like Euroair, you will have to switch terminals. They still have the old terminal at Malpensa, they do operate a bus and it takes about 5-10 minutes to connect. In the big terminal you arrive downstairs and all you do is head upstairs to check in for the second flight. Sometimes the terminals have what the call a "Transfer Desk", follow those signs and they should get you to where you need to go.
