Does washing your face lighten a tan?

my body is tanner then my face and i dont know why. the only thing i could think of is that because i wash my face 3 times a day, and apply oxy. could that be lightening the tan on my face?

if the face wash is an exfoliater, then your tan will fade becasue the top layer of skin, the tannest layer, will get scrubbed off. if you notice a big difference in color, use a more gentle face wash.

You cannot wash a tan off unless it is the fake spray on type.
