Out of Curiosity, are you 12 and looking for a job? Or are you a parent trying to find a job for your kid? Either way, there arent any realy ways to get a job at age 12, and unless its out of neccessity, then I would advise against it.
If you absolutely need the money for your family then you could ask your neighbors if they need help around the house and clean and stuff like that. That's about all there is to do at that age.
But why try to grow up so fast and get a job? Enjoy being a kid for a bit

I'm a single mom and I have 12 year old twins and a 9 year old, all girls. They've had household responsibilities since they were really young, you know...cleaning thier room, taking out the trash, emptying the dishwasher, dusting...
And the twins, in just the last few months, have been watching thier little sister for an hour here and there to begin getting used to being home alone. I think they are too young for a REAL job, so I will eventually pay them an allowance for those things. But for now, just like I cook, clean and do laundry (amoung a LOT of other things!!) they have chores to help keep the household running smoothly. 12 year olds can do a lot around the neighborhood too, assuming they live in a safe one. Ask neighbors if they need thier garage or basement cleaned out, the lawn mowed or if a neighbor needs a sitter for a few hours. I agree with another poster though...stay young as long as you can!!!

Now here are some community jobs you could do or jobs you could create to service people(they may pay you or they may not be able to hire you because you are underaged):
delivering newspapers
sweeping sidewalks of businesses
cleaining outside tables of eateries
sweeping around grocery stores and picking up all the trash
picking up trash at the fairgrounds

Hmmm...let's see...clean your bedroom, wash the dishes occasionally, do a load of laundry (with supervision), just basically help around the house!! If you are talking about a real job then you are out of luck...you have to be at least 14 to get a permit to work and then if you don't get the permit and you get caught you could get in trouble!! Believe me...I know!!

It's not legal to have a technical "job" at that age. but honestly doing some chores for neighbors for a bit of cash isn't horrible. My two older sons do chores and things for our neighbors for cash. They weed gardens, water their plants, walk their dogs, and rake leaves. things like that.
