That would be a serum potassium level. This is usually part of a serum electrolytes test. In most laboratories the serum electrolytes test is part of a Basic Metabolic Panel or a Chem 7 panel.
CBC does not measure serum electrolytes.

They can test potassium with a blood test. If you think that your potassium is low, please go get the test. Low potassium can result in depression. If you are low in potassium, they will probably give you a supplement at the clinic. After that, be sure to eat bananas or drink orange juice that contains potassium. You can become extremely miserable if your potassium is low. The good new is that it's any easy thing to fix.

If you think you have low potassium eat sweet potatoes, they have more potassium in them than bananas and orange juice combined. If you don't like sweet potatoes, try tomatoes. Low potassium makes you feel really weak and if you feel better after eating potassium rich foods, there's your "at home" answer. I would then go to a doctor and get a CBC panel. You'll find out everything you want to know and that you didn't want to know.
