yes it is his time always getting top tens and fives and winning four times. And 303 points in the lead. He is going to win the championship go hendrick and now all the Gordon haters that know jeff gordon is going to win it will thumbs down me.

Have you noticed that Jeff Gordon has not won a championship since Tony Stewart entered the Cup series??
. . . and you say Tony sucks???? He's won 2 championships since Gordon's last one.

Hello - Tony Stewart just won so you can't say he sucks. He always seems to be better the last half of the season. As far as Jeff Gordon goes - no it is not time for him to win. He's won enough. I would like to see somebody that hasn't won yet get the championship - somebody like Mark Martin, but that probably won't happen this year.

Under the old points and even the Chase from last year Jeff Gordon would almost be a sure thing to win but since the New Chase format he doesnt have that good of a chance anymore.. I still think he will win it though. Go #24!!!!

He could win it all, but how will he do in the Chase? Because that's where the championship is won. He needs more momentum heading into the Chase, because HMS has been cooling off recently. Even though I'm no fan of him, best of luck, since it would be unfortunate if he doesn't win after having such a big pre-Chase lead.(Hasn't this happened to him before?)
Continue to suck? Did you forget that Tony just won at Chicagoland?? This is his time of the year to get going, so I say he's going to be hard to beat from now to the end of the season. He's really good at all the upcoming tracks, and those will solidify his chances of making the Chase. I expect him to pick up at least one more win before the Chase begins.

Jeff Gordon shouldn't win the championship ever again!!!! He's a complainer and a CHEATER! Everyone hates him, if you haven't noticed. Go to a race or watch one. If he gets in a wreck there is cheering.
And don't insult Tony! He doesn't suck! He's a wonderful racer!

let's see tony won last week and has led more laps then anyone, so if he sucks i guess jeff sucks more.

Jeff Gordon sucks hopefully he crashes out of the rest of the races this season. Smoke will go on a roll and go into the chase with more bonus points than Jeff or Jimmie.

No, its time for Jeff Burton to win the championship! Tony Stewart will continue to have bad races if he lets his temper get in the way. Tony gets mad when someone does something to him and tries to wreck them and ends up wrecking himself too. "Tony remember Anger Management?!!!

Long over due. I think what you are finding is that the change at the Crew Chief Level has helped and most likely Jeff is doing his own thing and not relying on the 48 car so much.
Just my thoughts about Tony is I hope Gibbs goes to Toyota and then maybe Tony will leave Nascar because he won't be able to wait the 3+ years it will take for Toyota to compete at a high level.
