I know none of us know for sure but for those of us who believe in heaven what's your concept? My uncle who has since passed, had a near death experience and reached the other side into heaven. He saw his loved ones who had passed before him and they told him how much work is still going on in the next realm. He saw my grandfather who was raising my little cousin who died from cancer at age 3. He (my cousin) was the age he would have been on earth had he lived. They told him much work was being done for the cause of Christ and it continues as we pass over to the next realm. This is just a short explanation of what he experienced - he experienced many more things there, especially beauty, peace, and unconditional love. Thanks for your answers. Blessings -

I had a near death experience too. I remember falling/gliding/sliding in a tunnel of light and "knowledge" I was able to slow down enough to learn more and more - answers to questions of the ages, only I can't remember them now! I also remember that my "life played before my eyes" but by that, I mean, that I saw myself, as if on a movie screen, and felt the results of my actions on other people, it was very hard to see my face in anger, and I remember being embarrased at my own pettiness sometimes. I also got to feel the love and joy I gave other people as well as the heartache. It felt like it took years, but the next thing I knew, I was looking back down at the operating table, watching them frantically work on me, hearing their conversations about my condition and then, I felt a 'push' and then a tingle in my head, and I was now staring up at the doctor's relieved faces. It was an incredible experience, one I don't share with many, so thanks for asking!

While I'm sure your Uncle's experience was a wonderful one, I don't think that he could have been in Heaven.

The Bible explains that when a person dies, they fall asleep until Judgement Day. On Judgement Day, Christ will return and those that are dead in Christ (those that believed and confessed Romans 10:9&10 prior to death) will arise and goto Heaven. The rest will be judged by GOD and will either end up in Paradise or in Hell dependent upon GOD.

As to what Heaven is like, your best bet is to ask GOD. HE is the only one that truly knows. Thanks and GOD Bless.

The concept of heaven in Islam is similar to that found in Judaism and Christianity. The Qur'an contains many references to an afterlife in Eden for those who do good deeds. Heaven itself is commonly described in the Qu'ran in verse 35 of Surah Al-Ra’d: "The parable of the Garden which the righteous are promised! Beneath it flow rivers. Perpetual is the fruits thereof and the shade therein. Such is the End of the Righteous; and the end of the unbelievers is the Fire, wherein a person dwells forever." Since Islam rejects the concept of original sin, Muslims believe that all human beings are born pure and will naturally turn to God, but it is their environment and lack of will power which influences them to choose ungodly ways of life. In Islam, therefore, a child who dies automatically goes to heaven, regardless of the religion of his or her parents. The highest level of heaven is Firdaws, which is where the prophets, the martyrs and the most truthful and pious people will dwell.

My grandmother also had an experience like that.
She was very old in the hospital. Sat up in bed and starting telling everyone what she saw. A Garden that was beautiful then she started waving. Then calling out to people she know, all "Dead".

I think Heaven will be beautiful. I think this earth is like a negative photo and heaven the positive one. Colors that we haven't see.

No death. Imagine that for a min. No flower dies. No leaf. Only green and lush.
No more pain. I don't know about you but my neck and back hurt all the time.

No more sickness
No more fear. No one to rape or rob or kill you. NO hospitals or police or firemen.
Then there's the love. To worship God in spirit and truth will be a wonderful thing. We won't have inhibitions that hold us back in our worship.

I'm looking forward to the learning.

How about you?

For one thing -- God is Great!! Without him we wouldn't be here. Heaven is perfect, and for those who don't think so, it's the devil making you think that way, and in Heaven, Satan won't be there!! Just think of the most FUN things you've ever thought of....Well, ALL those things would be in heaven...you would be able to fly, run so fast and your legs won't hurt...you won't feel pain EVER again!! Right this second, Jesus is making a new world for us, nobody knows what it would be like ( All we know is that it's gonna be PERFECTLY MAGNIFICENT) and that we will get a new body, like here on Earth....like Heaven, we won't feel pain, and Satan would be long gone...earth would be gone, and all those people who hated God would be in Hell, suffering all the rest of their life there. It is sad, but those people do deserve it.
All I know about Heaven is that when we get there, it would be simply perfect....and all those questions that are still unanswered about God, (like, how he come into this world) we can ask him in heaven...and also that we're gonna have a huge feast with him there!! ;-)

I am a christian and i believe no one knows how heaven will be like.Though we all think it's something that looks like an evergreen garden with fruits and so on.What your uncle saw was another way of showing him what more work is remaining to be done here on earth he couldn't die because his time had not yet reached by that time.so he still had something to do before he could be taken until he accomplishes it.

Heaven is what you make of it. I believe, when you die, you rejoin God's (best description w/o explanation) spirit. Therefore, you are a part of everything there is, and ever was. Make heaven like you want! Then when you get tired of dreaming (being a spirit), and want to "experience", come back to earth and realize the real Heaven.

Beside the common imaginary Heaven
As much I understand
These religions if you understand them with its real message (I mean not on the bases of Zoroastrian religion that is penetrate in Christianity Jewism and Islam)
they are telling us the best way to live in this world, if we completely follow those rules
This world will be Heaven,
where we all will be secure from each other, no need to lie, no need to steeling, etc etc.....

I dont think we can even begin to imagine Heaven. If we cant fathom God now how can we imagine the beauty He has planned for us in the next. I long for that day but I still have much work to do for Him before I leave this life darn. Ha ha Peace out......................

Well thats extremely difficult, because apparently we're gonna have a new body mind and things. So are perception will TOTALLY change!!! Like over here, we can only see 4D but wat if in heaven theres 45D and we can say infra red. Well your grandfather could only say wat the human brain could create from its limit capacity. But even if someone went there and back, it;'d be extremely hard to explain, because itd be a totally different dimension. I think :)
