My lab/shep mix is 5 years old. Her name is Gracie. She is solid black; weights 65-70lbs. Not an ounce of fat on her. She is very active, but a big baby. She loves going to the lake and rides on the front of the boat (with her big orange life jacket on). She is our baby!!!! They never seem to calm down, but that is ok...I dont' want her to get old.

Dead, but its O.K., she was 100 years old and I don't mean doggy years either. She was a SWELL Dog!! When I buried her (true story) I leaned the shovel against a tree, got on my knees to say the "lords prayer" and started crying. YOU KNOW WHAT!!!! A little grey kitten landed on the grave! I had no idea that kitten was there watching the funeral. But I knew where she came from. She was the last of a litter born in my garage and had spent the previous (rainy) day and night alone in the garage with the body of my deceased dog. We couldn't get near her because she would run & hide. But the morning of the funeral was different. She must have watched me carry "Lady's" body from the garage, to her grave. She evidently followed us (Lady & I). At the precise moment I finished praying for Lady she jumped from the stone wall, smack on top of last shovel full of dirt I had just put on Lady's grave. From that day on she filled the empty spot in our hearts caused by our black lab's death. When I let her in the house for the 1st time. She went straight to Lady's bowl as if she had done it thousands of times before. ITS TRUE Sadly she is gone now too. But while we had her. She displayed all the habits of our Black Lab!

2yrs 105lbs Max
Labs only come in 3 colors, black, yellow and chocolate.
Black, well those are black.
Chocolate can range from brown to a lightish red.
Yellows are yellow but can be so light they look white.
There is no such thing as a white lab.
