Will eucalyptus grow roots if you take a cutting and put it in water?

After reading some of their responses to the question it appears that it is possible, but not very probable. They suggest that the best cutting is one that is very, very young (not woody). One poster said he took 100 cutting and got 1 of them to root. They all agree that seeds are the best way to start.
