Have you ever heard the term 'free country' or 'freedom of speech'? That's why ~ you cannot stop someone from believing something they strongly believe, even if it is different you yourself, or the majority. If you look at history, you will find that people of differing religious viewpoints, or varying beliefs, is what has started most wars ~ going right back to the dawn of the history books.
Love people for being different, not for being a sheep!

We have freedom of religion here in the USA.
And here's a little poem from my childhood that might ring a bell:
"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me."
People can't kill with words and atheists don't want "God people" to die. They just want to live their lives without being criticized at every turn by theists.

Not all Atheists have people who believe in God. The ones that get so verbally violent just can't control their emotions when they hear something that contradicts their lack of belief. Some believers get very mad also. Every group of people have some who are like that.

Umm... You're crazy if you think that. First, we accept that you have different ideas than us. Second, I don't believe in violence. Third, it's an idea. If you want to stop someone from thinking something, too bad. It's an opinion, just as God exists is an opinion. You cant prove either idea, so it is just thoughts.

Because we here in the West(where Christianity & Judaism are predominent), we allow freedom of religion.
In the East, where religions such as Islam, Hinduism, & Buddhism are the predominent religions, there is very little freedom of religion, & therefore, it is not very safe to publicly speak of what you believe.
