If you need to play games on your pc than WIndows XP is far better than Vista as many of the old games(before 2006) but not work on Vista but if you are looking for a professional Windows with high security than I would recommend you to have Vista.

If you need a new computer, or new software (these days...so to speak...) then likely your only choice will be Vista...it's ol' Microsoft's way to make some smackeroos.

For MY money, XP runs every bit as well
