Jag on the food network star dropped out because he had lied on his application about serving the war... If I remember correctly the Food Network knew about it before he backed out, so wouldn't Food Network be equally responsible for allowing him to be on the show in the first place???

I was so very disappointed because he was my choice as the winner. I thought his type of food was very different and interesting. I really felt let down. I was not aware that the Food Network knew about this prior to the competition , but if they did , then they ought to screen contestants properly and avoid this in future.

I was wondering what he could have possibly lied about! I missed the last 2 episodes or so.

Maybe the Food Network gave him a choice...either resign on your own or be forced off. It's not much of a choice, but it looks better than being forced off.

Well he did serve in the military as a Marine, just not in Afghanistan like he claimed. I think it just took Food Network a while to do further research to find out about it. I hope he goes on to better things, I liked him.
