I am constantly adding up numbers and trying to find patterns with them...what is that called? what's that mean about me?
btw...I'm not a math whiz or anything...

Greetings I've been doing this my whole life. I'm now hooked on sudoku as well. I can't remember the term. Do you remember the movie "Rain Man" with Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise I think he had the same thing but also had other issues as well.

Beats me what to call it but I will sit in a restaurant and count people when they come and go, keep track of how many are present, look at the serial numbers on dollar bills, keeping some that have odd sequences, observe license plates on cars and try to guess what letters/numbers will be on the next vehicle, try to guess the population of the next small town when driving through country that I have never ben in before. It's a secret obsession of mine and thought no on else ever did this. Your question blew my mind!!!

You may just be incredibly strong in Visual Intelligence.
There are different types of intelligence. To name a few: Mathematical, Visual, Social, Internal (Knowing yourself),etc.
Some are stronger in Mathematical; Some are stronger in Visual. It depends on your mind. Each mind is individual.

Depending on the extent to which it interferes with your life, the counting/pattern-searching behavior could be indicative of OCD.

You have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), as long as it is not effecting your life negatively, dont worry about it.
If it is getting in the way you function, then seek medical help.

It could be obsessive-compulsive disorder or maybe even a form of autism. It doesn't mean your crazy or stupid.

Numerology is probably what you mean.
It reduces letters to numbers and you can look it up in charts.
You can liken it to Astrology
