I contact them all of the time through email and I usually get responses from them via snail mail.
It is so important that we keep our elected officials informed of what we think and the action that we expect them to take.
There is absolutely no reason why the voice of the voting American public should not be heard in this age of advanced communications other than they are just to frigging sorry to make the time to speak.
But, oh boy, they will surely b*tch about it after wards.

I have contacted both Boxer's and Feinstein's offices, the White House and written all 3. I have put together a flyer which contains comprehensive information on the various amnesty acts, govt. contact numbers and addresses, that I have made 200 copies of and distributed to surrounding neighborhoods...I will make more. I gave up on Arnold (I'm in CA)...I don't try with him anymore...I don't know why he decided to lay down like a doormat, but he did. Today, I will be finishing the CT letters for my relatives. I do the letters for anyone that can't do it themselves...believe me, it's like having a thousand voices and I love it. Because of a comment by Dirty Martini, I realized we're not restricted to our state officials...she contacts many and I think that is a great idea.

I believe, there are enough laws on the books to deal sufficiently with illegal immigration. Any new laws are just covering the fact, that there is no money to follow up on them, because we spend 1 Trillion a year on the military, chasing ghosts.

I have contacted my government officials multiple times but not about immigration. It is not at the top of my list, I guess. Education and the war have been my primary targets and I have only so much time in my day unfortunately. I do vote and have voted in EVERY election as well.

I have, and I received an email back from Senator Cornyn when he was submitting amendments to the Bill, and then when they were in the process of killing the Amnesty bill.
I never did get a response from Senator McCain about why he voted against an amendment that would ban criminals from citizenship. I guess he thinks we don't have enough homegrown criminals, so we need to import them...

I have called and written to both Senators and my Congressman, as well as our state representatives.
It is a big issue in Northern Virginia.
