She might have something stuck in her eye or an infection. You really need to take her to the vet to find out the cause. Eye injuries are not something that will heal themselves. Please go ASAP.I hate to see animals suffer. If you are worried about money - you can work out a plan with the vet. All good vets will work with you to make sure your dog receives treatment.

Get a warm cloth, WITHOUT SOAP, and rub the eye gently.

I'm thinking there is dust or something caught in his eye, which would hurt and make him act differently. Is the eye goopy or running?

My kittens used to get runny eyes, and the vet prescribed medicine to apply to help clear it up.

Call your vet, if the cloth doesn't help. It could be something more serious, as she is an older dog.

If you can't make it to the vet until she gets home, I would at least call the vet and tell them what's going on. Maybe they will have some suggestions until you can get the dog there. Good luck :)

You should take her to the vet. Carrots have a lot of vitamin A in them. If you feed her a lot of carrots she might have gotten too much vitamin A, which is harmful to humans, possibly dogs too.

I probably take her to the vet pronto! Maybe she got stung by a bee or some other kind of insect. It sounds like an allergic reaction to something.

Take her to the Vet. It is the only way to find out what is really wrong. Good luck with your dog, I hope everything is OK.

your dog may have an ulcer in her eye. consult a vet immediately b4 it gets worse. it could also be that she has something in it that is irritating her or maybe her eye is severely dry. for any of these reasons you ar egoing to need a vet asap.

call your vet. tell them everything thats wrong and that you cant get there until your mom gets home, but you want to relieve some of the symptoms. it sounds like an infection tho. call your mom and see if she can get there early, or see if you can get someone else to take you.
