We need to define "judging".

If you are referring to the determination of eternal judgement, the weight of our righteousness before God (which is empty without belief in Christ), then it belongs to Jesus Christ who will come again to judge the living and the dead.

It seems, however, that many people confuse "judgement" with "rebuke". They scream that a person would ever point a finger at another and identify where he has clearly departed from God's will. They perhaps even judge the person a "hypocrite" when God alone knows the person's heart. How ironic: to judge for judging.

While Jesus teaches that each person's measure of judgement to another will also be used against him/her, he also teaches that believers are to rebuke one another's sins. This is not done as a measure of condemnation, but for the sanctification of all those who believe in Christ.

There is no point in rebuking a non-believer because that person is already condemned by his/her non-belief in Christ (John 3:16-18) and so would not benefit from being rebuked in his/her ignorance. A person first needs to realize that s/he is a sinner in need of salvation from eternal death and accept Christ as his/her Lord and Savior.

To all, the truth should be spoken - which belongs to God, not to the messenger.

"Stop judging, that you may not be judged."
(Matthew 7:1)

Why then do you judge your brother?
Or you, why do you look down on your brother?
For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God.
(Romans 14:10)

With love in Christ.
