Yes, I know God exists from my own direct, personal experience.
Knowing can't be called faith...and what is more rational than direct experience? More so than belief based on faith or belief on some form of logic with lack of support and evidence.

You should read as much as possible from the ancient philosophers. They tried to tackle that idea and came to no united conclusion. But the general belief was that God is a concept beyond human reason and therefore impossible to prove or disprove. (it really is a brilliant concept if it was in fact conceived by man)
You would find most people in the Agnostic camp side with this type of ideology. They want to believe there is a god but would feel much more comfortable if they had something solid to base their beliefs on...of course this would become knowledge and therefore eradicate the beliefs altogether.
You can not have a confident belief in God without some sort of faith, one is dependent on the other. You can, however, have a theory or concept of God without any faith. So eventually you will have to accept that no repeatable evidence of God will ever be discovered and choose to believe he exists anyway, or decide that because there is no scientific, evidence God is only a concept and nothing more.
Deep stuff...could easily write a book on it.

Well, is believing in God not an act of faith in itself? There is no God for people without faith, because in order to believe in any higher power whatsoever, you must have enough faith to believe what cannot be scientifically proven.

One can search archeology and come to the conclusion."Ok,what the Bible described was true enough". But you can't find God with out believing. Once you believe, then your actions lead to faith. Paul said,"Faith comes by hearing, hearing (or now reading) the Word of God"....and "Without Faith,it is impossible to please God".
And...."It is by Grace through Faith that we are saved. It is a gift of God .Not by works ,least any man try to boast".
Paul was a pretty smart guy!

You have to have faith, and believe in God. No, I can honestly say my faith has lead me to believe, there is a much higher authority other than your Mom, and Dad, and some Manager. His/Her name is God. Have a blessed day.

No If you are talking about the one true god Jesus Christ. Because faith is believing and believing is seeing and seeing by the word of God.

You can't believe in God without faith. However, he can still watch over you. You could be a child that hasn't found his Father yet. Your Father is your creator.

Much earlier than anyone of us would know about outside of reading and hearing, men came to faith through reason. That does not sound logical to some of you, but it is true.
Some of the founders of Catholicism used reason to understand the scriptures.

It is impossible to find God without faith. You have to believe He exists, and this entails faith.
