As soon as one person leaves, it seems human nature that everyone else leaves - taking their cue from the first "leaver". Any suggestions?

What we have done in the past is prepare coffee and ??? for the road. This will give set the tone for the end of the party, just "not yet". From that point, they will stay awhile longer and get a quick "boost" before driving home. Don't ask if they want coffee, just make it!

If the music is on, lower it to encourage more conversation. Sometimes, people will leave to get away from loud music, television or pets at the party. Your home is yours, but if you want people to stay, consider their feelings FIRST.

You can't prevent them from leaving, its against the law.

Personally, I like an early night and get up around 6 am. So we generlly leave no later than 9:30 or 10. A sleepy girl is a crabby girl.

Eveyone is different.

Well my suggestion would be to make sure you have both old school and new school music the will insure that you have a variety so everyone can enjoy it. Make sure that you have plenty of food and beverages this is one of the main points, and mingle with all of your guest to make their comfortable and don't need anything. Have dance contest, and remember that people Love to be catered to . GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

Lock the doors,... not really ask yourself why are they leaving to soon people stay where the fun is and where the good times are so you must be doing something wrong here.

Ask where is everyone going? Say I know you don't have to work tomorrow...besides I haven't even done my strip tease yet to pay for the party! That should keep everyone in place for at least another hour.

Try not to feed them too soon after they get there. Nobody is gonna leave until after they eat, so the longer you hold off dinner, the later they will stay,
