sounds like we might have to dig into a kids cookbook for him.
; ) does he like pasta? i have a lot of great recipes for pasta!
1 pound Broccoli tops
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 pound Pasta: penne rigate, corkscrew cavatappi, elbows,
or medium shells
1 tablespoon Extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons Butter, cut up
1 cup Grated Parmesan, Parmigiano Teggiano, or Romano
cheese
Put a pot of water on to boil.
Separate the broccoli into small trees by pulling them apart. Put the broccoli florets into a pot and add water enough to just cover the tops. Bring the water to a boil and add 4 pinches of salt to the water. Cook the broccoli 5 minutes and drain it.
When the pasta water boils, put 4 pinches salt into the pot and add pasta. Cook to al dente, according to the package directions.
Put the extra-virgin olive oil and butter in a big bowl. Add the drained pasta and broccoli to the bowl. Add the cheese to the bowl and stir it until the butter melts and the cheese mixes i. Add a little salt and pepper and taste the pasta to see how the seasoning is.

if you would like to cook him steak it would be best done with a nice loin a good cut would be tenderloin (for dating purposes not economic)
you can serve it with a spicy chutney / sweet onion
as simple as 1/2 a mango (or apricot/peach) some chillies jalapino being the best 1 red onion 120 or so grams of sugar cook the onion in the pan first at a moderate heat then add the sugar when the onion is soft then the chillies and fruit.
serve it on a bed of mash potato if you would like to be fancy throw in some dill not at all nessesery but it is a nice taist
for an easy sauce as simple as when the steak has been cooked in the pan add some red wine reduce and pour over the steak. simple elegant and taistful

Well, you can fix steaks with onions and green peppers on it. You can fix mac & cheese with it and garlic mashed potatos. You can also fix busquits to top things off.
You could also buy the beef tips from the grocery store that comes in brown gravy and cook them and put them over mashed potatos like they do at Ruby Tuesdays.
My husband is very picky also, if I didn't know any better I'd think you were talking about my husband. I have a hard time sometimes cooking for him, so I try different things like cooking a pot roast in the crock pot, hamburgers with mixed veggies and potatos on the grill. You can do so many different things with meats, just be creative!

Marinate the steak with garlic, salt & pepper and worcestershire sauce then grill it. Serve with garlic mashed potatoes or cheesy potatoes. If he likes mushrooms or onion rings serve one of them. He probably told you what veggies he does like so that is what you serve. This time of year the veggies are fresh so there are many salads. How about a caprese salad, with fresh sliced tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and basil topped with a little olive oil? Have all the makings for sundaes and have a make your own sundae bar for dessert.

Don't you just hate that? My boyfriend is the same way. I would make a saute of tri-colored peppers and onions to put on top of the steak. Add some garlic smashed potatoes and some slightly buttered green beans. What man could resist that?

Steak is good, but with it saute up some onions and mushrooms to go with it. And try something like twice baked potatoes for a side, you can top them with whatever you like. I alwasy do mine with cheese and bacon. Garlic bread/toast would be perfect to finish off the meal. And its a meal that if you went to a restaurante would spend $20 or more on so its impressive

Take a day oof and let him see you´re cooking :D
I depends, what kind of spices/dishes he prefers and what kind of food is he used to in the past.
I think, a huge well done pizza, great risoto with fried chicken fillet or spicy hamburger soup, or steak with homemade (milk and butter) potatomash.
Some homemade chocolate cookies cake to go, if you have any time let :P
and you are ready to go!
