I'm 12 years old, I play basketball and i've already been to physiotherapy---- it worked except my knees always break down, I start hearing cracks and start hurting for a while.

Leg Extensions and Leg Curls. Low weight high reps 2 to 3 sets of each.

If you have knee problems, stay away from squats or leg presses.

Your knees anything to be strengthened, but you can work on the muscles all around your knees.

Leg presses (stand and bend at the knees- not past 45 degrees- while holding a weight), extensions (sit and lift a weight on your ankles) and curls (lie down on your stomach and lift a weight on your ankles).

Always stretch slowly and carefully.

Please be careful, you are still growing and do not need to body-build, just strengthen around your knee joints.

Maybe you can bring this up to an adult who can guide you.

You need to work on strengthening your thigh muscles. A strong quadricep will act to stabilize the knee area. Get advice from an trainer as to what machines to use and to make sure you are using the correct weight and intensity.

yes there is but i dont know what its called but ask your doctor, or run a lot up and down the stairs.
