I need to check my message for my land line, but I'm out of town.....I can't remember the code, and I tried #80 when the machine picked up and that didn't work, does anyone know the code, it's a generic code used on all machines....please????

usually the # or * key when the message starts will prompt you to enter your pin code to access the voice mail, or answering machine messages...

if you have voice mail and forgot your pin code, you will need to call your local phone provider to reset your pin... if you have an answering machine, and need the remote code if you have changed it from the default, and forgot it you are SOL... if you left it the default pin code you will need to look for the user manual pdf file for the brand and model phone that you have on the manufacturers web site... but since you are not home, you probably will not be able to know the model number of your answering device..

if there was a universal default code to retrieve messages, then anyone could get access to your messages..

Are you talkin about an ansering machine you have in your home, or voice mail from the fone company?

If voice mail, call "customer service" at your fone company. If it's an answering machine, I would need the make and model of it. The make at least!
