Hi,

As a practical matter you can mention that your presentation is covered by copyright.

From a technical point of view, you can't stop a user from copying a PowerPoint background. They can take screen shots using the computer or even a camera pointed at the screen.

Why do you think anyone would bother? There are so many great free and low cost backgrounds it would hardly be worth the trouble to copy one.

The users have access to the powerpoint presentation?

If they do, try hiding it so they can't find it. If your problem is that people are closing the presentation when its running, try using kiosk mode.

If none of the above, try these links.

Kiosk Mode
1. On the Slide Show menu, click Set Up Show.
2. Under Show type, click Browsed at a kiosk (full screen).

Those instructions are for Office 2007. 2000/3 are similar.
