Put simply, agapi love is principled love. Or love based on righteous principles. It is the highest form of love. I forgot the Greek word for platonic or love among friends.
Agapi is the reason Jehovah's Witnesses go from door to door though most do not want us too. We value others' lives and must warn them of the future trouble before the earth is turned into a paradise.

Agape is not platonic. Phileo is platonic love, just as eros is physical love.
A good definition of Agape is "Universal Unconcerned Benevolence", and it's source is God. The Bible says that "We love because God first loved us."
You first need to be reconciled with the God of Love by acknowledging that you have broken His Laws (this is called "sin"), then repent of them (turn your back on your sins, and start living the way God intended us to). THEN God is in a position in which He can forgive you, cleanse you of your sins, reconcile you back to Himself, and adopt you into His "Forever Family".
He can do all this because He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die in your place. He took the penalty for YOUR sins (crimes against God) on His own back. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried - all to pay the exacting judgement laid on YOU for YOUR sins.
But that's not the end of the story. He didn't stay dead. Three days later, He rose again from the dead, thus proving once and for all that He truly IS God manifest in flesh, and that He has power over death and the grave.
So confess your sins, repent, ask God to forgive you, and let Him be the Lord (boss ) of your life, THEN you can experience Agape Love from God.
Until then, according to Jesus, you're still under condemnation. Don't wait.
