Thank goodness the Southern Christians conservatives have cleared all that up for us, right?! For awhile there, I almost thought Jesus was about peace.

In Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 it talks about that there is a purpose for everything.
Jesus said to love your enemies but this does not mean that when some one is out to murder as many people as possible that you don't just lay down your life and let him keep on killing. You must stop him or try to stop him or her. Such is the ways of the terrorist. Not all Muslims are that way, but most terrorist are Muslims. No on has ever said to kill all Muslims. Just the ones that are trying to kill those that don't believe the way that do.

I don't see why every one thinks that America is in the middle east to kill the Muslims. If we wanted the "perfect christian world" with out Muslims, why not ban it here and purify our own country first. Simple, it is not a religious war. It is not a holy crusade. The middle east is just a bunch of culturally involved tribes fighting over watering holes and oil. We went into Afghanistan to get Osama for attacking us. Sadam was a tyranical ruler that supported Osama and commited several crimes agains humanity. If the government started murdering your friends and family for not agreeing with them, wouldn't you want someone able to step in and stop it? Just because our President is openly Christian doesn't mean he is the reincarnation of Christ returned to cary out his holy crusade. He has not sent our troops to Iraq to kill muslims. He sent them there to protect you. By the way, you know that the reason that we are losing so many is because we only shoot the ones that are already hostile. If we really wanted all the Muslims dead, all we would need to do is wipe them all out before they shoot us. How about we step back from the microscope and look at the whole elephant.

Are we killing all of the Muslims in the Mid East?

We could you know, it would be much easier than trying to free them from a dictator and give them freedom.

We could kill them all within 24 hours. So, if we could and we are not, how can you justify your question?

Peace be with you.

(And I pray for the Muslim people every day that they find Peace)

Christ is about Peace. His Kingdom is in heaven and in the hearts of his believers. If he wanted to conquer the world...it is his to conquer. He did not come to Earth to establish a physical kingdom, but rather a spiritual. Christianity is now Hundreds of Millions of people strong. And some of us...Mennonites are Pacivists...meaning we don't believe in violence.

If your looking for excuses to hate Christians...you picked the wrong door. A true Christian seeks peace and tranquility with ALL neighbors and teaches us to love our neighbors as ourselves.

I as a Muslim & never believes Jesus Christ's teachings were to kill people. His teachings were to love and show kindess towards all. That's his true teachings which many Christians donot follow.

Was this a stupid question or a stupid statement? Who is killing all the Muslims in the Middle East?

Kill all the Muslims?
I think that is a bit of a stretch.
God is about peace and love.
He will however kick Satan and his followers sorry a@@es.
The correct translation of the Commandment is Thou shalt not Murder.
Not thou shalt not kill.
Big difference.

As a Christian, I believe Jesus loves all people - Muslims, Christians, Atheists, etc. I believe he wants all of us to be happy and to live in peace. I believe he wants us all to love and respect each other regardless of our individual beliefs and cultural upbringing.

I believe war deeply saddens him.

I do believe that sometimes war is justified, but only when DEFENDING yourselves or country and not being on the OFFENSE or an AGRESSOR.

Why do I believe that sometimes war is justified?

Because God loves us so much he has given us all the ability to choose for ourselves how we live, what we do, and how we treat others. That "free agency" is a gift.

I believe this gift of "free agency" is given to us by God so we can grow by choosing to do good to others and by choosing NOT to hurt or hate others. We are to love each other.

Unfortunately, however, many of us abuse that gift by making wrong choices. But he allows us to make wrong choices, because of his love for us and therefore does not remove that gift of choice from us.

Sometimes these wrong choices that some people make are severe which results in the harming and even killing of others. I believe this greatly saddens God and Jesus.

I also believe that Jesus would be happy if when we protect ourselves and our children from those who make these harmful choices.

For example: If had good reason to believe a person wished to harm your family and had tried to break in to your house to abduct and/or kill your children, I believe Jesus would want you to put strong locks on your doors. Once the intruder actually broke into your home, I believe Jesus would want you to call 911. Why? Not because he doesn't love the individual who wishes you harm, but because he wishes you to be safe and happy and has given you the intellectual ability to maintain that safety by calling the police. If in a different, more scary, scenario, the intruder was already severely hurting your children or family members, I believe that Jesus would want you to defend your family members even if that meant you, in turn, physically harmed the person who is killing your family. Why? Again, Jesus still loves that person who is trying to hurt your family just as much as he loves you. But again, he wishes you to maintain your ability to have enjoy happiness, family, and safety.

Once you have successfully defended yourself, your responsibility is to frankly forgive and love those who have tried to hurt you. This can be extremely difficult, but we should pray for help in this.

Again, I believe war is horrible, unfortunate, and deeply saddens Jesus. But on a national level, I believe we are sometimes justified by taking steps to ensure our borders and citizens are safe similar to the scenario I describe about securing our home. If our country has an attacker, we should defend ourselves from that attacker. I believe Jesus loves the attackers just as he does our citizens, but we should defend ourselves from those who make these attacks.

This is why I believe, as a Christian, that sometimes war is justified as unfortunate as a war may be.

However, I do believe that regardless of the war:
1. We should not make it an issue of religion or differences of beliefs but only on the basis of defending ourselves from an attacker.

2. We should strive to understand, and love all people - even those who wish to be our enemies.

3. War is the last resort. Diplomacy should always be exhausted first.

3. We should enter a conflict ONLY when not doing so brings us greater distruction.

And yes, Jesus does want us to love our enemies, but I do not believe Muslims are our enemy. Those who are in love with killing and hurting the innocent are the enemy - whether that is a Christian, Muslim, or athiest.
