yes , i have tried it , not for hair growth , but my hair was dry from to much time in the surf.

in all honesty i didnt really see noticebable results.

the best condition i had my hair in recenetly was last year when i played thrught the whole football season . Regular excercise , run and kick out that stress , i felt real healthy in general.

Im injured now lol hopefully next year have a full season

save your money , most of that stuff is useless , if your looking for a miracle , your looking in the wrong spot.

eat healthy and lead a healthy life style , no drugs no alcohol , easy as that.

I have not heard of using silica, but their is a B Vitamin called Biotin that works very well. I have been using it for years and my hair grows twice as fast as it used to. You can buy it at any drug store, take it orally once a day with your regular multi-vitamin

If you mean Silica to preserve things, like the little packets you get in purses sometimes...You can buy it at craft stores like Micheals or maybe even Wal-Mart. They sell it there to preserve freash flowers. You could even check at your local florists shops.

i'm sorry i've never bought it before
but go to your local salon they probably have it
or drug stores ( i'd be more careful with those)
or a beauty supply shop

or look online for it
