There have always been people trying to discredit God's word- they are just MORE plentiful in this day & age- Which does in fact point to the end of time. Matthew 24

I don't know David Wilkerson or Brother Stair, but Hal Lindsey has never been a scoffer walking after his own lust saying where is the promise of His coming? Hal Lindsey is looking for the Coming of Christ at any time as I am. The scoffers that II Peter 3:3-4 talk about are the unbelievers who do not believe in the Lord and do not believe in the prophecy of His second coming. These scoffers reject God and everything about Him.

Actually, not all their predictions were false. Hal Lindsey had a book in 1982 or so called The Rapture in which he picked from a LONG list of things in the Bible and in history 20 things that he could back up Biblically as HAVING to come to pass on Israel's behalf BEFORE the Rapture took place. Upon following up on his research, I found that 19 of the 20 he chose have come to pass! The other one hasn't happened yet because the institution involved (European Common Market) has too many members. Lindsey's prediction involved the ECM as being the "ten horned beast" that would rule the world on behalf of the Antichrist/Satan during the Tribulation period. Since the EU has 15 members instead of 10, it's the only thing left to fall in line. If you hear of 5 member nations getting kicked out of the EU or "reassigned" to a lesser role, you'd better be prayed up and ready to go, for the Rapture will be close at hand!

I don't think so, although I do not know anything about Brother Stair.
I am one that believes the return of Jesus Christ will be in this generation.
I have several reasons for this belief, and here are a few.
1. Jesus said 'not a generation will pass until I return', however he said that after explaining about the fig tree that had died and come back to life. The fig tree represents the nation of Israel who was run out of their land and had to find a homeland somewhere else. They were officially recognized as a nation again by the U.N. in 1948.
2. Those lands that are to come against Israel in the Battle of Armageddon are all Muslim nations. The precursor to that battle is what we are seeing right now. As soon as the Muslims believe they can take Israel and kill the Israelites, they will enter into Israel. What is stopping them from doing it now? It is the west, the U.S.A. and the U.K.
3. Even though Christians number as the largest religion on the earth, their numbers in the U.S. and the U.K. or getting smaller. There is a falling away from the faith which was predicted in the writtings of the apostle Paul.
4. Over ten years ago, when I was studing for a lesson and reading about Simeon and Anna about God's promise to keep them alive until they had seen the Messiah, I heard a voice speak to my heart and it said, 'That is the promise I have for you'. About two years later I was at a Pastor's Conference and while sitting at a table of six pastors I related this story to them and one of them asked exactly when was this that I heard the promise. When I told them the date, three of them said they had exactly the same message given to them, on that date, as the one that I received.
Come quickly Lord Jesus.
The people that are using the Bible prophecy teachers as their excuse to fall away from the faith were not solid members of the faith in the first place, and they were looking for an excuse to not attend church or fellowship with the saints.
I often hear people talk about how imperfect the body of Christ is and that is why they will not attend church. My response to that is, 'If there was a perfect church it would not remain that once you have become a member'. We are all imperfect, just some of us are saved by the grace of God.
Others rebell against God and will suffer their own reward.

I've read everything written by Wilkerson and Lindsay.
They are both Bible believing Christians and speak the truth.
I've even had David Wilkerson preach at my church. Wilkerson is in my opinion, one of the most annointed preachers of the 20th century. I'd rate him right up there with Billy Graham.
They explain what the Bible says.
I've never heard of "Brother Stair". A brief search on Google tells me that he's a false prophet and an adulterer.

All of these cult leaders and the other cults that are out there are linked to 2 Peter. Good observation!
