This recipe calls for one cup of flous seperated...what does that mean?

It means you need part of the flour in one part of you recipe and the other part in another part of your recipe.

Just read you recipe and you will understand.

it could be flour just misspelled it probably means devide the flour into parts some for one thing and some for the other ,,read it threw thinking its flour and see if it makes sence to you then,if not type flous in the search engine and see what happens

you will use part of it at one time and part at another time. for example you need flour to make a pie crust and you need flour to put on the counter when you roll it out.
