You might not like this but you should forget about losing weight. At your age, your metabolism will likely correct IF you eat better and exercise.

DO NOT do anything distract. Just start eating more healthily. Balanced meals, fruits and veggies instead of sugars and junk food and exercise a few times a week.

It won't change overnight but in the long run, you'll be healthier and more fit.

I can't guarantee that you will actually lose 15 pounds in one month-- that's a pretty high goal to set for yourself, unless you are really, really dedicated. But here are a few tips that will help you lose some weight and make you appear a little thinner!

1- Stay active more than you usually do. Be in constant motion!! I recommend jumproping, which burns about 700 calories an hour.

2- Watch your calorie intake. 1300 calories is suitable for someone trying to lose weight.

3- Cut out the salt. A high sodium intake can make you appear bloated and larger than you really are.

4- Stand up straight!! Just having good posture will make you look taller and therefore appear thinner.

5- Get the right kinds of calories. There are three basic types of calories- protein, carb, and fat. Get plenty of protein calories, they will keep you full and keep you from snacking. Carbohydrate calories should be kept relatively low, unless you are planning on getting a lot of exercise-- then jack it up! Remember: carbs=energy. When you eat bread and such, try to get whole wheat/grain flour. Stay away from fat calories!!!

6- Eat six small meals a day. This will keep you from feeling hungry throughout the day, and will generally help you intake less calories. You won't end up snacking!!

Good luck, and remember-- stay active!

The first question you have to ask yourself is do you really need to lose weight because you are truly overweight or are you wanting to do this out of peer pressure to be thin? Not knowing your particular situation and health, I can only give you some basic suggestions. I would recommend that you talk to your parents and maybe even your doctor, they will help you with whatever is in your best interest.

A good starting point would be to cut out all unnecessary non nutritional foods and drinks such as sodas, candy, fatty chips and snacks. Concentrate on drinking plenty of water, a lot of times when you feel hungry your body is really needing water not food. Try not to eat after 7 PM, you don't really want to go to bed too soon after eating. Exercise, something as simple as walking a few miles 3-5 times a week is beneficial.

I have lost a total of 120 pounds so far.
I lost 105 pounds in my first 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.

Good LUCK!

Remember you haven't gotten your full growth in, but if you feel you are carrying some fat then try to cut out junk food, sweets, sodas, fast food, etc and eat healthy items...keep your calories above 1200 a day though and if you eat several small meals a day, versus 3 larger ones, it helps you lose weight because your body spends more time during the day burning/processing the calories you've eaten.

In addition to a healthy diet, try to get in at least 1 hour of good activity a day...walk briskly, bike ride, jog, aerobics, rollerblade, swim, etc (whatever will get your heart going).

Remember though, when you lose the weight you need to keep eating healthy (you can fudge now and then, but overall keep it healthy) and exercising so you don't put the weight back on. The healthier lifestyle you lead, the less harm a burger and fries now and then will do. ☺

Stop eating all the high calorie foods. And eat healthier foods. You don't neccesarily have to just eat veggies all day. You can eat some foods that are to stacked up with calories and sugar. Next you need to do excercise routines at least once a day. And lastily stay outside for at least 30 minutes a day to keep you healthier and leaner. You should be able to lose 10 pouns in 28 days if you keep this seriously.

Your 13 so the answer is you dont need to lose 15lbs in a month. The right answer is that you should change your lifestlye so u slowly lose weight so you can actually keep it off. If you were to lose 15 lbs in a month odds are that you would gain 20 back in the following month.

if you havent gone through puberty yet you should not worry about losing an weight. your body will even itself out when you do go through puberty. my step-daughter was so overweight until she went through puberty and now she is so so skinny. young girls need to keep in mind that they are not supposed to look like models right now, your still babys.

try to stop drinking sodas all together or if you cant stop at least drink i diet soda all the time. water is best. they say you can lose 10 pounds be just doing that.
