It seems really odd to me that I hardly ever had any religious group come to preach at my door, but as soon as I was baptized I had so many.First the Jehovahs dropped watch tower at my door,I was attracted to the pretty cover picture but inside was disgusted with how they disagree in blood transfusions and argue the trinity isnt real and Jesus wasn't crucified he was staked, then the Mormons came,I actually invited them in and looked into their eyes, they left dissapointed cuz I didn't want their ideas. Then I was spiritually attacked in ALL DIRECTIONS it was like some thirsty battle over me.Has this happened to anyone else????

It was certainly NOT "the Jehovahs" at the door of this questioner.

"Jehovah" is the personal name of Almighty God, the Sovereign of the Universe, the Creator. "Jehovah" translates the Hebrew Tetragrammaton into English, and is to be used with reverence and respect.

It is a terrible insult and blasphemy against God to misuse the personal name of the Almighty as a reference to any human. An adherent among Jehovah's Witnesses is most certainly not "a Jehovah" but rather is "a Witness".

(Deuteronomy 6:4) Jehovah our God is one Jehovah

Sadly, such disrespect for the Heavenly Father and hatred for His people should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:

(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.

(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems significant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

I asked a question to non believers last night and I
was told by some friends who are non believers that I
should have worded some of it differently. They
could not believe some of the answers I received
though, telling me I am delusional and I need self
awareness and I am trying to ban them from the site
and the Bible is hogwash. All I wanted to know-why
do they think they have the right to poke fun or
criticize others or judge others on their religious
beliefs or race when no one is perfect? So maybe
they think they are perfect or what?
I have some Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses for
friends by the way. We know each others beliefs and we do
not get into it, same with the non believers I have for
friends. If they ever want to ask again about my beliefs,
I will be happy to tell them. However, they ask about
them the right way and do not poke fun or criticize or
judge. They don't ask and then say now don't tell me
it's faith or don't quote scripture or don't say this or
that. Those people who do that really do not want to
know, they are poking fun, criticizing and judging.
I don't answer the door by the way.

Welcome to the family of God! Satan found out and now the trials and tribulations of being a Christian are yours for the fee of belonging to God! Satan will bombard you every chance he gets, the only true defense, is to remain strong with God, When the Jehovah's come invite them into a true relationship with Jesus, and Share his doctrine with them, they don't like it much, when you share your true faith with their false beliefs. And eventually they will give up or get more determined to try and undermine God. Don't give them a chance! Stand strong and they have no power. Same with Mormons, Explain to them that Jesus and Satan are not brothers, and they can never become little Gods of their own planets, Always pray for guidence from God, Allow the Holy Ghost put the right words in your mouth. Don't give in to these attacks, and yes it has happened to a lot of us who love Jesus!

The devil doesn't save his strength for unbelievers as they are already in his camp. When one becomes a believer, satan's attacks, although sometimes subtle, come like a bombardment. Becoming a believer is not necessarily the road to easy street but be strong in the Lord and put on the armour of God and you'll be fine.

God Bless
A Brother in Christ

It happens a lot of times-especially when I talk about salvation not being of works and of the deity of the Holy Spirit or the plan of salvation but I know I'm on firm Biblical ground and give them the scriptures to prove my point.
(Ephesians 2:8-9, John 4:24,Heb 1:14, Romans 3;23,5:8,6;23, &10:9-10,13).

They may argue their own views by trying twist other scriptures around to fit their own vewpoint but you know the truth.

Have you actually proven your beliefs? Or did you just accept them as you were told? Don't you find it a bit odd for a major thing about God not even mentioned by name? The word "trinity" does not exist in the Bible. Have you not asked yourself why?

Maybe your baptism was a sign you wanted to know the truth of the Bible. Instead you reject it out of old habits.

That's nothing great being a christian. Only death and arising to be a new person and a promise of Hope. You are blessed to be Christian but you are hated by the World.

Strangely, this was not the way it came about with me, I attended several denominations heard their doctrines, and only believe the commandments of Jesus as guiding principles in life ahead.

o.k i stopped going to church about a few years ago not because i wanted to turn my back on god but because of personal reasons, i still have god in my heart, and i still try to live by his ways. well when these people come to my door i tell them I'm not interested, but since they are so persistent to try to come into my home i let them in. i sit them on my couch. then i take my bible out and i preach to them. wanna know what they do they leave.

Satan wants us back when we come to Christ. Put on the whole armor of God. Ephesians 6:10-19 to overcome his powers.
