Millions have pondered over this question and I guess its high time we find a sensible answer. The bible says God is in our heart, and the revelation also says God lives in the heavens. Now where is this 'heaven'?

Sanatana Dharm views existence as composed of three worlds. The First World is the physical universe; the Second World is the subtle astral or mental plane of existence in which the devas, angels and spirits live; and the Third World is the spiritual universe of the Mahadevas, "great shining beings," Gods.

The scriptures say that Yahuwah stretches out the heavens (space) like a tent in which to dwell. Whilst he cannot be contained by the heavens, space and time, yet he stretches them out. The accounts tell that Yahuwah rested from all his works of creation, so he no longer creates space, light and energy etc, yet it also says he streches it out. Science has confirmed that the creation of the universe as we know it was a 'singularity', that is to say there is no evidence that whatever caused it all, ever happened before or after that event. They also acknowledge that the universe is expanding. All this was discovered in this last century. Yet Scripture has been telling us this for at least 3000 years. 'Interesting' is just such an understatement.

Yahuwah dwells in those who have the testemony of Yahushua (the Messiah), and who keep the commandments of Yahuwah. So as you may have guessed, there is a little bit of heaven inside the hearts of each saint (living saint). This is the peace of Yahushua.

So, don't just believe, because even Satan believes; you need to obey the commandments as well. Not because you are saved by obeying them, but because you have been saved, they have been written on your hearts, so that you love them. Just as the Psalmist wrote "How I love your Law oh Yahuwah, how I delight to meditate on them all day long...."

First let us see what is haven. The concept of haven is different for different races, but for one common thing. The heven dose not include any sorrow or pain, there is all happyness and pleasure. Now look at this concept, can you have something good, without the concept of bad? Can you imagin pleasure without the feeling of pain? The simple answer is - 'No'. So the concept of haven in itself is wrong. As a matter of fact, there is no haven.
Bible says, God is within, Gita says God is within, Vedas says God is within and Upnishad says God is within. How come all of them say the same thing? This is because the fact that God is within- lives in our very own heart; is a direct experience.
Direct experience is that which has been experienced without the medium of mind. That is absolute truth. Anyone who can dissolve his mind can experience the presence of God within ....
This is an assurance given by all the sages with direct experiences

Now where is this 'heaven'?

Apparently Heaven is a spiritual realm that exists outside of the 4 dimensions that we are aware of (time is the 4th dimension). When God created this universe time came into existence. While we look up to Heaven because of the nature of extra dimensions God can be in all places at once. Paul tried to explain this to the philosophers in Athens.

Acts 17:22 So Paul, standing in the midst of the Areopagus, said: "Men of Athens, I perceive that in every way you are very religious. 23 For as I passed along and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription, 'To the unknown god.' What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you.

24 The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, 25 nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. 26 And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, 27 that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, 28 for "'In him we live and move and have our being'; as even some of your own poets have said, "'For we are indeed his offspring.'

29 Being then God's offspring, we ought not to think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man. 30 The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, 31 because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead."

In a galaxy far, far away.

Christ, on the other hand , is in another solar system relatively close to our own, but far more progressed and advanced than ours. There, he waits the day of his return to the earth to usher in the last phase of our mortal existence, known as the Millennium.

Christ is not the creator of our spirits or solar system, but was created by our “Father” to be the overseer of our solar system; therefore he can be appropriately called our God—being One who acts as God would act.

Guru Nanak also went out in search of God as well as a cure for human suffering of the time. The answer lies in one of the premier books of Sikhism known as Japji Sahib. I think you will find an answer to many of your questions if you go out with an open mind and read the following:
