i live with my mother and im 17 and i am SO miserable. she drinks so much wine, liqour, and whatever alcoholic drink. she drinks it so much at night i cant get any sleep most nights and i cant concentrate on my school work. she comes in my room A LOT and bugs me about the dumb things. my b - day is on march 6th. i have a job, ill be a junior in high school. do u think 7 months is going to go by fast? i have some where i can live when im 18.

No it's not a long time as long as you keep yourself busy (ie, go out with friends, find a boyfriend, ect). It sounds like you have some issues with your mom that you might want to work out before you move out. Moving away is great and all, but running from your problems are not going to help you either.

Thats good that you want to get away and better yourself. Check with you local police, in Texas 17 is an legal adult that can move anywhere or do anything.

I am very sorry to hear of your situation. It can be very frustrating.
You work, so that can help... Maybe take some trips: camping, hiking, to the beach... Get out of the house for a few days at a time.
