When religion and church let me down, My God lifted me up and taught me to rise above the quagmires of stench and corruption. One day, I will cease to attempt to save others from this mess or maybe I will return after I have healed. God only knows.

Remember, "god" is nothing but a nonsense word made up to explain away the things we can't yet understand.

Isn't it funny how so many people that are "down" turn to and find "god"? It's a simple human emotion, desire, to seek stability and create meaning and order in one's environment that is exaggerated in times of trauma or change. Since we aren't yet smart enough to understand all of the complexities of our existence, some of us make up a way to explain away all of those complexities....GOD!

u r right. relsp with god is personal. he creates us and we reciprocate by worshipping him and thanking him. some religious doctrine has corrupted this relsp. eg the clergy insists that we hv to go thru them to get to god. god didnt say this. clergy does so so as to continue having a hold on us and want us to obey them. they want power and glory. so its really up to us. some of these institutionalized religins with rituals etc are making the world a worse place to live. they shld back off our lives

WELL FIRST OF ALL,SALVATION IS AN INDIVIDUAL THING.
WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES IS YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIAN BY WATER OF THE WASHING OF THE WORD OF GOD AND WHEN GOD SAVES YOU HIS SPIRIT BECOMES YOUR OWN INSTANT FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM.

IN OTHER WORDS GOD DOESN'T SAVE PEOPLE IN GROUP FORM BUT BY EACH INDIVIDUAL WHO COMES TO HIM AND ASKS FOR FORGIVENESS OF THEIR SIN.
THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE SPIRIT DRAWS YOU UNTO HIMSELF.

WE WHO ARE SAVED HAVE A VERY PERSONAL,RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST THE GOD OF ALL THE WORLD. ALL POWER WAS GIVEN TO HIM IN HEAVEN AND IN THE EARTH SELAH

I have a personal relationship with God. You can't save others as such, but only lead them. You can't decide for them.

if their is a god it truly must be transpersonal. any personal relationship you have must surely take place with a part of yourself that you assign to god; like your soul/consciousness?

You can't have a personal relationship with something that doesn't exist.
Anyone who genuinely believes this, is either lying, or in need of serious psychological help.
