wow
along your line of thinking
Speed limit 65...I have the free to go faster, BUT...why do I get a ticket for going 95??
Why do I go to jail for robbing a bank.I have the free will to do it or NOT do it.
Rules and regulation?........why do we have those?

Free will is an illusion. Our behaviors are limited by the laws of physics (we don't have the free will to fly) and psychological needs (we don't have free will to hurt those we care about, etc.).
However, we should act as though we do indeed possess free will, that every choice we make has a consequence both on ourselves and those around us.

- so the true answer is that people are sheep.
- the priests and the church and the rabbi's and synagogues and imams and mosques are the shepherds (symbol thats very prominent in all abrahamic religions).
- the shepherds tell the people who are lost, frightened and uneducated that there is a God.
- God has told the sheep to give and give to the shepherd until it hurts, and hurts like hell so that you can go to heaven.
- if you don't give, you will go to a worse hell
- so the sheep being the gullible idiots decided to live out a mild hell on earth to avoid a supposed eternal hellfire.

That is not the correct idea.
The idea is that God offers to make us His sons and daughters. Heaven is just a place where that relationship exists. Hell is just a place for those to be apart from God for those who want to be free of God. The gates of hell are locked from the inside.
It is not really a matter of following laws; it is a matter of whether we want to have a relationship/fellowship with our Creator.

What could be more free will? It is called a consequence. You can have unprotected sex if you choose but you have a really good chance at getting pregnant if you do. It is still your choice to do. You can eat pizza 3 times a day, every day of your life if you want. Just don't be suprised when you gain 70 pounds. Just because you have a choice doesn't mean there won't be a consequence.

It's still free will no matter how you look at it. You have the will to break those laws. God won't stop you.
Especially since he doesn't exist. But your argument is flawed all the same.

But how can you prove you love what is right, good and true, unless you have choice to choose what is wrong?
Laws are only for they that love to do wrong.
And to protect they that love what is right, from they that love what is wrong.
If you love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul, and love your fellow man as yourself, you can do no wrong.
Law makes us conscious of right and wrong. And of what sin is. Otherwise you would'nt know. And you'd never realize you were a sinner and needed Jesus.
Ask Adam and Eve. It was al lgood till they took a bite. So now ya "know".

we all have free will. But we need to exercise our free will in a way which wont impact upon the free rights of others. we need laws to protect ourselves from ourselves, and eachother.
