I been taking anitbotics for two days now and I only have two more pills for too day how fast are they suppose to work?? I mean my left side were my kindny is, well its pretty much killing me, i have taken tylenol and it seems to work for a while but the pain comes back. I dont know what to do any more I cant even sleep it hurts that bad.

The antibitoics should work within 48 hours. If you don't feel better by tomorrow I would call your doctor and see if he can give you something else. Your body may be immune to what he gave you (this has happened to me before). In the meantime try drinking some cranberry juice and take some advil to reduce any inflammation. I hope you feel better soon!

Antibiotics usually kick in around the third day. Try a soak in a tub of hot water, or a heating pad on the side that hurts. Drink water, cranberry juice, cran-juice mixes, and beer (if you are old enough) until your molars absolutely float. That dilutes things if nothing else, and helps cut down on the burn when you go as well. If you aren't seeing some improvement by end of tomorrow, it's time to return to the doctor. You have my sympathies- I suffer them as well, and know that back pain all too well.

Your left side where your kidney is hurts?!?!? I say go see a doctor right away because the infection could now be in your kidneys and that isn't good at all and it won't get better without more treatment!

go to your local drug store and get some AZO this will help with the pain during urination or call your doctor and ask for some pyridium. Both will turn your urine a orange color but don't be alarmed this is normal

I always drink water and cranberry juice.
Beer if you 21.
Stay away from coffee.
