i work in a deli and get lots of compliments on the sandwiches i make..
i was wondering..
.if you are a little peckish while making a sandwich do you make better sandwiches????

peckish meaning you are a little hungry yourself.
it was just an idea that came to me, some of the sandwiches i make i make them like i was making them for me :-)

Yes, I think you can cook better if you're a little hungry, not starving because then you only want to eat and not care about how it tastes. I really like some deli sandwiches, and I am picky, I don't like mayo or mustard on them, I really like the kind of pickles they put on them, nice fresh roast beef, crisp lettuce, tomato, now I'm hungry.

I'm not sure I understand "peckish". I know I made my best ones with a medium line of tickets. Just enough stress, yet enough time to do it right. And music. The radio had to be on in the kitchen at all times. Then I could zone out and concentrate. So I'd sing while slinging out food. And God forbid anyone trying to ask me stupid questions, I'd zone them out too, I had everything organized in my head.
