We're made out of meat too...what keeps us from killing and eating each other?
A sense of ethics?
An idea of right vs. wrong?
The belief that all living creatures have the right to live?
A strong justice system?
Also, please stop using the Bible as a justification for humans to eat meat-if you read into everything it says, women should be ruled over by their husbands and their only purpose is to birth children.
Besides, doesn't the Bible say, "Thou shalt not kill?" How do you know that only applies to humans?

1) not everyone believes in God
2) where/when did God even say that we have to eat animals, in the first place?
3) for those who say 'animals were put here to serve us and we have to eat them.' would you eat your pets too (cats, dogs, etc.) ?because they're animals. I don't care about other countries that eat cats and/or dogs (it's still wrong). I'm asking the ones who have those animals as pets.
4) humans, too, are made out of "meat". so is it ok if humans are cannibals, as well?

yes, it is true that god didn't want us eat animals, they have their own life,so why humans are killing them and eating them,
like humans, god have given them life to live, animals have also feelings, they also become sad when the loose someone jus like humans,,god has given us so many other things to eat, why humans still crave for meat i don't understand, Esp chinese, japanese, and western people, they can't live without eating meat,

Hmmm.....
Do you have pets? Dogs, cats? They eat meat. We don't eat them though because we enjoy them as pets.
We eat animals that we don't associate affection because it is too hard to understand the division of our emotion and physical needs.
It is ok, it is a great question trying to understand why we would deliberately hurt another creature with whom we share our environment on this planet. You question tells me that your are concerned about the welfare of other creatures.
It is tough to separate need from harm, but people, being omnivourses (mispelled I am sure), are products of an environment that encourages them to consume the necessities to meet their biological demands.
Read some biology, Darwin, etc.....this will help give you some insight.
Best of luck to you,
Animal lover, but meat eater too......

no. who decided that animal meat was to be eaten anyway. if you were vegan you could say:
Is it true if God didn’t want us to eat plants, he wouldn’t have made them out of cellulose?
what about: Is it true if God didn’t want us to get sunburned, he wouldn’t have made the sun?
your parents probably didn't want you to eat dirt when you were a kid so is it ok to do so b/c they didn't remove it from your presence?
not trying to offend but lets rethink this a bit.

Yeah, I heard of a place where they give away meat for cheap, sometimes even free. They are always throwing it away too, so you better get down to the animal shelter as soon as possible.
