I can't drink MILK (intolerance) I quit drinking soy (developed allergy & bad rep) So I buy some RICE milk. I am finding that isn't so great in searches on the internet.

I love the rice milk, but is that okay? About a quarter cup a day? 4-5 times a week?

I just did that master cleanse ... so I am trying to really watch what I eat.

Just have to say... I did develop a Thyroid condition over the past year. Was it the soy I was putting in my cereal and Starbucks? I don't know. Also... severe allergic reaction to soybean oil landed me in the emergency room.

Anyone know anything about rice milk?

Yes rice milk is healthy. It is a lighter alternative to soy milk (and cow's milk) and goes excellent with cereal. You may also be able to find almond milk if you would like to try it; it is quite delicious, though I prefer soy. However, if you have an allergy to soy, and I'm assuming you're vegan, ovo-vegetarian, or lactose-intolerant; then rice milk is a great alternative.

I have tried them all rice, oat, almond, barley and soya milk, all have different applications, I like the rice milk for cereals and almond milk for savoury dishes, oat milk is nice in baking.

Soya milk for some can be harsh it is very hig in proteins that is why most people find it hard to drink.

Most of them you can cook with, but one word of caution you cannot boil it as they are not as stable as dairy product due to the fat and proteins in the milk, so bring it only to a heat of 160-180 F.

It has antioxidants and since it is made of white rice, complex carbohydrate and natural sugars but little in the way of nutrition. Try soy milk instead. If you have digestive issues try raw milk cheeses from the health food store and goat's milk instead of cow's milk.

Yes,I know some friends who swear it cures a belly ache.My son could not drink milk,I made him milk from nondairy creamer for cereal or to make gravy, mashed potatoes and food that requires milk.I also made sure he took a vitamin everyday to make sure he had the calcium he needed.

(Many blessings)
