I have never liked the taste of meat, but prior to now thought I had to eat it for nutrients. After getting pregnant with my second child I began gagging at just the thought and decided to do some research on the matter. I also was never fond of milk (maybe because I was breastfed longer than most kids when I was breastfeeding). With that, recently I've learned how horrible cow's milk is for us anyway. I found with the right information under your belt you don't need to eat things you dislike!!

I am a former chef and now a lacto-ovo vegetarian, most of the time, I have eaten an assorted variety of meat substitutes, faux meats and soya meat alternative, and as a man who has eat almost anything that crawled, I can say none really do, but they have the texture of meat, veggie burgers in some ways do, seiten, tempeh and qourn also can be made to imitate meat, I use soya chunks in stews and chili's along with TVP, it is a matter of opinion, as for the one person who said no one could tell you, and blindfolded some may trick you, it is all in the taste and texture I believe. Here in Canada were Yve's were invented I have had all there products and can say there good, the lady who mentioned Schneider's which is available in Canada, but under a different name in the US, there Au Natural product are good also, Boca is available here, but when I have a veggie burger, I make my own.

I stopped eating meat because my body stopped tolerating it. My digestive system kicked up a fuss when I ate the stuff, and it also became a lot less pleasing to me. So one day I decided to go vegetarian. Then I read about the milk-veal connection (the sons of dairy cows are chained in dark sheds to become veal) and how the hens who are used for eggs are treated, and...well, next thing I know, I'm a feisty vegan activist. That said, I adore analogues and encourage people who want to reduce their meat consumption to use them.
If you don't like the taste of meat and milk, don't eat them. It's a perfectly legitimate reason for avoiding these products. And with all the hormones and antibiotics they give to cows confined for their milk nowadays, no wonder it tastes wretched. Many grocery stores now carry soy milk. Natural foods stores often carry soy ice cream that's just as delicious as dairy ice cream. Experiment around to find a brand you like.

Milk is disgusting taste ugh. I know some parents whose children could not stomache the taste of meat and as small children would spit it out so the parents had to look at a vegetarian diet and even a vegan diet as their children hated milk. Some children just keep throwing up milk so a soya substitute was found.

Humans are naturally suppose to be vegetarian. We are built more like the herbivores in nature.
I am a vegan and i do not eat meat or eggs or milk for several reasons:
1. My health - weight, cholesterol and blood pressure.
2. the health of the the animals
3. I don't give my money to industries that support animal cruelty to the best of my ability.
4. the environment - it is an easy way to help contribute to saving the planet.
I used to eat meat - and the taste was fine. But honestly I like boca burgers better and morning star chix patties are way better than the real thing.

Some people just dont like certain foods its natural. As for milk it dose have an after taste if you dont like it dont drink it. Maybe you should become a vegetarian it wouldn't be as big a switch and you can live in comfort knowing you save about 95 animals a year.

As far as milk leaving a bad taste in your mouth, I always had that experience. Since milk is animal fat in water, the fats start to degrade and "rot" basically. So that always gave me bad breath, and I noticed that on other people too. I don't get this with soy milk, as it doesn't have animal fat.
