How often do you get outbreaks???

My first year I had about 3 or 4 outbreaks. As time went on I got fewer and fewer outbreaks. I've been outbreak free now for over 2 years (without taking daily suppressive therapy).

First year about 4 or 5, the next year just 2 - I've had it for two years.

I have had prodrome symptoms on occasion. I get it a lot more in winter, or when I catch a cold or flu. Last outbreak was only very mild - it went within 24 hours. The worst outbreak I ever had was a year after I caught it - I had a couple of blisters but it was the viral symptoms- I was running a temperature and felt so ill I crashed my car on the way to the doctor! All the other outbreaks have been very mild though.

husband has it, i probably do but am just carrier. When 1st got it said he broke out alot! like every month sometimes twice month. Now he has breakouts maybe 3 times a year. 20 when he got it he's 47 now. breakout slowed down by thirty. Told me on 1st date he had herpes. 10 years younger than him, been together every since! Tomataoes break him out- in case you wanted to know that.
