I am having a pool party at a hotel called the Swan and Dolphin for my birthday. I had had invitations picked out that were stationary but I want something different. I dont want regular stationary invitations. Any Ideas!?!?!?

Put the invites in dark blue envelopes and then pop them in white balloons.. give out the balloons at school or tie them on fences of peoples houses. If you have a lot of money to spend then you could make a tape/CD. Good luck!

Can you do origami? If you can, get some origami paper at any craft store and print your invitation on the white side of the paper. Go on line for an origami site ( I'll suggest one ), and find a swan or dolphin folding instructions. Fold the design of choice and place the origami in an envelope with a small card instruction the recipient to unfold it for an important message. Practice on plain paper until you have perfected the design.

you could send/deliver a fun favor for an invitation, such as a mini jar of bubbles, water balloon, drink umbrella, etc... something inexpensive but will inherently remind the invitee of summer...mini watermelon erasers, mini beach balls....look online, you can find tons of inexpensive items...good luck and have a great time!!!
