My doc called and said that my thyroid levels in my blood test were A LITTLE LITTLE bit above average. Hyperthyroid.

I read some symptoms and am I over analyzing?

I tend to "poop" several times during the day and the past 2 months or so they have been "loose"

I have virtually lost my libido over the past year...it is not "relationship" problems.

I definelty feel fatigued...like I want to take 2 naps a day and it is not uncommon for me to be sleeping 15 hours in a single day (not in a row)

I do have shortness of breath, but i am a smoker and am out of shape.

I had a high blood pressure reading at the doc last time.

Main thing is though...i HAVE NOT been losing weight and I know that is a sign.

What is your experience with this?

I almost forgot. 2 years ago my doc found a nodule on my thyroid, but it was not large enough to be a concern. Could this have to to with anything?

FYI...HYPERthyroidism could also cause weight gain due to an increased appetite.

Sorry, but you are confused on one thing...hyperthroidism causes weight loss....NOT weight gain. The symptoms of HYPERthyroidism are:
increased heart rate
weight loss
muscle weakness
hair loss
heat intolerance
fatigue
shortness of breath
increased bms
nervousness
light or absent periods in females

Weight gain and the inability to lose weight are signs of hypothyroidism...the opposite extreme. Symptoms of HYPOthryoid are:
fatigue
weakness
weight gain
inability to lose weight
cold intolerance
decreased libido
dry skin
coarse, dry hair
thinning hair
constipation
memory loss
abnormal menstrual cycles in females
irritability
muscle aches and pains

You may be over analyzing as that is human nature when reading about a condition we recently discovered we have. But, I am also sure that you felt a lot of the symptoms before you were aware of your problem. After all, some of them like fatigue is hard to miss.

Just be sure to follow the treatment your doctor recommends and you will notice improvement in time. As for your weight, it might be the result of fatigue since you are probably too tired to be very active.
