Obviously herpes makes dating more difficult. But was anyone ever able to have a relationship/ marriage after being diagnosed?? Did you only date people with herpes?? How did people react when you told them?? What did you do?

I've dated several people since I was diagnosed with genital herpes. I was with one ex for almost 4 years (he never got the virus from me) and I even dated someone for a little while that also had genital herpes.
I'm currently in a 1 and 1/2 year relationship with my fiance and things couldn't be better. My fiance love me for ME, not the virus I have.
There are some great guys and girls out there who are SUPER nice about someone having genital herpes. There is definitely love after herpes, trust me!

Yes, there isn't any. Herpes is caused by a virus. Actually, there is little cure for viruses nowadays. The only thing that you can generally do in the case of a viral infection is strengthen the immune system and hope it fights it off. Not with Herpes, the immune system can't win against it. Thus you only get to treat the symptoms. Once you're infected, it stays with you for life. So don't get infected.

People with herpes should just date others that have herpes as well because even if u just kissed some one that didnt have herpes u could infect them as well.
