We want to have a casual wedding reception with a pig roast or barbecue with a smoker. I am looking for a caterer or a restaurant who does this type of thing. I am pretty flexible. We just want it to be good food in an casual party atmosphere that doesn't cost a fortune.

They usually serve whole roasted pigs with crackling skin.
You can order one for your party. It's very traditional for parties.

That's simple. Let you fingers do the walking ( as they say ), and check the yellow pages for caterers in your area. Call and ask them if they provide this service. I think you will find most will. If you have some friends that have any experience in this sort of thing, you can rent a spit and a smoker. I would also suggest that you call several organizations in your area to see if they can do this for you. Here, where I live, the Elks have pig roasts all the time. They have a hall that they rent out and they cater their own parties. They are far cheaper than most caterers.

You could dig a hole for coals and do it in the ground.
