I love chocolate, and right now its the only thing I eat with dairy in it. I haven't been able to find any good vegan chocolate, although I am seriously considering just making my own- i love to cook. Anyway, anyone know of where I could find some, or even recipes!
Thanks!!

My favorite is Green and Black's brand. Not all of their stuff is vegan, but most of it is. It's all organic and all delicious.

I love Green&Black organic chocolate. I have tried about 3 versions of their vegan dark chocolate. My favorite is Maya Gold!! But be warned it's the real deal and you can only eat small amounts at one sitting or else you will get caffiene reactions of being awake or having headaches (I do anyway because I'm sensitive to large amounts of caffiene). You must read the ingredient labels to make sure they're vegan, but the vegan versions do state themselves as 100% vegan!

Terra Nostra makes a line of vegan chocolates in both dark chocolate and a rice milk variety. They're based in Canada but you should be able to find them at places like Cost Plus World Market, Whole Foods and similar health food shops.

search veganessentials.com for chocolate. I've tried Terra Nostra and it was pretty fine chocolate.

It has a weird aftertaste though so now I stick to making home chocolates with raw cacao beans.

You can choose to roast the beans or leave the beans raw, and then throw those into the food processor with coconut oil, some cocoa butter, your choice of sweetener, spices (mesquite works well) & add nuts/dried fruits/coconut flakes then refrigerate.

I'm not so experienced with making chocolate but I'm guessing that's how it goes, (coconut oil hardens at colder temperatures making it a luscious melt in your mouth experience)

Rose City Chocolatier also has a fabulous line of vegan chocolates--including chocolate-covered cherries.

Pangea (www.veganstore.com) has a selection of vegan chcoolates.

And Sweet Earth Organic Chocolates is very vegan friendly--plus fair trade and organic!
