If a couple times a month you have a sensation where you can breath but you can't seem to get a deep breath or really fill your lungs with air is that hyperventilation or mild asthma or something?

i've got the same problem xD it can vary from couple times a day to hyperventilation here though. I wouldn't go all for asthma or respiratory problems though, perhaps it is something to do with your surroundings or OR! maybe you're anemic :D ya know lack of red blood cells sort of makes it harder to fill your body with air?? thus you not feeling ... airy enough? just a shot in the dark here. Probably go with the others' answers lol but hey keep your options open, most of the times symptoms of a problem are linked to something completely random and different. Good luck with the doctor, by the way :D

Let me say first of all I'm no expert, and in any case I still suggest seeing a doctor. That being said, my answer would have to depend on the time of year you notice this around. If it's all year, or if it has only started within a few months, you may have a case of chronic bronchitis, in which case you should see a doctor. If it only shows up around the spring and summer months, it may be asthma or, more likely, allergies. Also, if it only shows up in spring and summer, when do you notice it? If you only notice it outdoors, it's most likely allergies, but could still be asthma, and if both, vice versa.

I've had that before but very infrequently, it could be due to allergies or excess of ozone in the atmosphere, but if you're getting it more often it could be a more serious health problem. I wouldn't worry about it unless it seriously impedes your life.
