Not if they are real vegetarians.
Some people call themselves "vegetarian" and eat fish, chicken, pork or whatever.
Real vegetarians (who don't eat animals) don't accept those people as vegetarians.

Probably not knowing the meaning of the word. The premise of language is to communicate, so it's a good idea to use the correct terminology. A vegetarian diet comprises, by definition, vegetables, fruits, grains, nuts, and sometimes eggs or dairy products (if ovo or lacto vegetarian). NO animals of any kind! A person who eats fish can be called pescetarian, pesco-vegetarian or piscavore. Any of these can be easily understood. Using inaccurate terminology just confuses the issue.

There are different kinds of vegetarians. . .then there are vegans. Vegans eat nothing meat/dairy/with a face (lol). Vegetarians aren't supposed to eat fish but a lot do. . .then I don't think they're vegetarians. I didn't eat fish or eggs.

There are many types of vegetarians some of them choose to not eat meat, but don't consider fish as meat so do choose to eat sea food and fish. There are also many vegetarians that either for plain dislike for sea food or for beliefs against animal cruelty choose to consider fish as regular meat and see the abuses that fish undergo also and have decided to not eat fish either. So, to answer your question, it depends on the likes and beliefs of a person on their decision to eat fish. Though, majority choose not to do so, and majority of people do believe that true vegetarians do not eat neither meat nor fish. I hope that I could have helped with your question!

A fish is not a plant. Vegetarianism/Veganism are terms that deserve to be respected fully.

They're not supposed to. It's like me, I'm vegetarian other than the fact I eat seafood. So I tell people, I don't eat meat, except seafood, I don't' say I'm a vegetarian.

It depends on the vegatarian. It might've lived but some don't look at fish as that much of a creature. If you decide not to eat it because it lived, that's your choice. It's an option, to break it down. I really liked chicken so I have it every now and then because of the chicken who pecked me (you can answer my question.) But you know, it's completely optional!
