Your boyfriend, more than likely, got the virus from having sex with her, not from her becoming pregnant.

Genital HPV is almost ALWAYS spread having sex (vaginal, oral, or anal) or by having DIRECT skin to skin contact with someone who has the virus. HPV doesn't just "appear" when a woman becomes pregnant.
