Just because the wedding colors are brown and white doesn't exactly mean that the food has to be those colors. A plate, no matter how pretty, with only white and brown food is going to appear boring and drab. The vibrant colors of food is what makes eating interesting, along with smell. Chicken and Fish are always good choices for weddings. But spice it up with beautiful vegetables and side dishes, they will brighten the plate and make the meal more interesting. Congratulations!

there are lots of idea
1)Prime rib with mashed potatoes and gravy
2)as an entree maybe a mini marinated lamb or beef salad or some herbed bread, mini baked potatoes
main mean chicken or fish with veggies
3)chicken is white, with a brown sauce/gravy.
Steak is brown
potatoes-white
rice-brown or white
anything chocolate, caramel
cauliflower
Of course the most important thing is that all the party favors and the cake, and the decorations are brown and white, most people don't expect the food to blend in with the colors!
4)The colors of the wedding do not have to match the meal! Have any kind of food, chicken is a good choice. Do not limit to just brown and white foods or it will be a boring meal!
5)beef, mashed potatoes, rice, wheat bread, brownies with vanilla icing, vanilla/chocolate ice cream, coke, hot chocolate
6)Beans, Beef, and taters? meatballs etc. Those are kind of hard colors.... Does the Food Really have to be Brown & White too? why not throw a splash of orange in there then you can do carrots and sweet taters.
7)roast beef with au jus
mashed new taters n gravy
green beans with pearl onions
chicken cordon bleu
rice pilaf or taters au graten
peas n carrots or green beans or another veggie
pasta or two to pick from
tomato and a cream sauce for guests to pick from
green salad with maybe 2 dressing choices
a veggie- maybe stuffed mushroom caps

It depends on your plates, bowls, napkings. If your plates are white or brown you will really want your food to pop. Solid color plates tend to be a little bit boring. Prime rib would look good on either of the plates as long as it's rare. If you havea fish dish if it's on white plates have salmon or something with skin on it. On the brown plate any white fish will pop. The same theory goes with chicken. As for a vegetarian option you should be fine as it will be full of bright colorful veggies. Make sure there is some type of bright veggie on the plate. Green beans or carrots often look good. One thing I would highly suggest is telling the caterer not to overcook the veggies, it tends to make them look type of grey. As for a side dish why don't you try sweet potatoes instead of a traditional mashed potato, lot's of color or a spinach linguini.
